About This Design:

"We're Alright in Allston-Brighton" is an original design by local artist Ellen E. Thompson that emerged from neighborhood conversations and shared experiences that uplift during challenging times. The design intentionally pairs a reassuring, straightforward message with a handcrafted aesthetic, reflecting our community's personal, grassroots spirit.

The phrase "We're Alright" speaks to collective resilience, and community ownership, rather than blind optimism. It acknowledges difficulties while affirming our commitment to taking care of each other. The informal language captures the authentic, conversational way our Allston-Brighton neighbors check in on one another.

This design embraces accessibility and inclusion. The clear typography ensures readability, while the rainbow color accents reflect our community's diversity as well as LGBTQ+ presence, pride and support. Secondary botanical elements on the sticker design also reference the urban gardens, parks, waterways, and green spaces our community cultivates together.

Process Transparency:

Ellen E. Thompson Art & Design is not benefitting monetarily from this campaign. Approximately $500+ worth of in-kind product and processing labor will be donated by Ellen E. Thompson Art & Design to facilitate this fundraising effort.
